The San Marco Aspide FX takes the regular Aspide shape,
lightens it, and throws in more padding.
You might say, “How can it be lighter and have more
padding?’’. Well we’re glad you asked. San Marco uses the lightest EVA foam padding
in the entire San Marco line and this allows them to cram more padding into the
same saddle.
In all fairness, it’s not just the EVA padding in the San
Marco Aspide FX that saves the full 30 grams. San Marco equips the Aspide FX
with tubular titanium rails which help to shied a few extra grams and make the
saddle more supple.
This sleek and clean design is finished with a smooth cover,
allowing for good fore and aft movement.
Our experience is that it usually takes a 1-2 week period to
break in a saddle. Since all saddles are
slightly different, (this saddle in particular often requires the full two
weeks.), bring tools with you to allow you to adjust its position until you
find the perfect spot.
