The Continental Podium Tubular is specifically designed for time trials. They are slick and narrow in design to help you shave seconds off the clock. 

The Conti Podium TT tubular slick tread is composed of a black chili compound packed with small carbon particles. Each square inch of tire is crammed with these tiny particles that conform to the road and are key to the tubular’s improved tread life, grip and low rolling resistance. 

While the compound has not been updated new for this year is the 22 sized width. This is a major improvement over the 19 for two key reasons. First, most rims don’t safely run such a narrow 19 width and secondly all recent testing shows a 22 width is faster than a 19.

The tire is 700x22 and 205 grams with a 3 ply 180 tpi casing. Designed with one use in mind, this tire is of the best time trial specific tubular tire on the market.
