It has become apparent that a saddle’s fit is more like shoes and less like handle bars. Shoes come in 16+ sizes, handle bars typically in 4. To not have a saddle that fell between the SMP Glider and the SMP Pro is the shoe equivalent of not making a 44 – crazy we know!

Now it’s available, in all its glory: the SMP Strike Lite 209. Finally, a 139mm wide SMP saddle! Of course, we can’t take direct responsibility for its inception, but we saw the need years ago.

The SMP Strike Lite 209 is 3mm wider than the SMP Glider and 9mm narrower than the SMP Pro. Length-wise, at 273 mm, the Lite 209 is 8mm longer than the Glider and 5mm shorter than the Pro. The logic: it fits better.

The Lite 209 also closes the gap with a bit more padding than the SMP Glider and less than the SMP Pro.

The design of the outer mid-section is shaped to follow your thigh muscles to maximize blood circulation and pedaling power.
