AX-Lightness is a small German company that builds ultra-high-end carbon products and is best known for their line of sub 100 gram saddles.

The AX-Lightness Phoenix is an impressive 58 grams and has a maximum rider weight of 176lbs. Its weight alone is a marvel, it’s truly “feather light.”

In a family of four AX-Lightness saddles light weight alone doesn’t set you apart. All of AX-Lightness saddles are less than 100 grams with the heaviest at 78 grams (AX-Lightness Endurance). So how do you set yourself apart?

The AX-Lightness Phoenix is one of the lighter saddles with a more defining quality than weight alone. With the saddle flipped its unique leaf sprung rail system is revealed. The AX-Lightness Phoenix rails blend into the front and back of the saddle with a standard round rail section for your seat post to clamp onto. (Traditional rails are round and mount directly to the base of the saddle). The leaf system, improves ride quality by absorbing more road vibration. Oh the marvels of German engineering – ultra-light and designed with comfort in mind.

The saddle is 125mm wide and 260mm long with the rear curving up.
