We love hand crafted products. The Miche Reflex wheels are constructed by Miche, for Miche, in Italy, by Italians. These are not, ‘finished’ in Italy which is industry code for made in China shipped to Italy. These are real Italian goods. It’s refreshing to see Miche’s commitment to produce the product locally. We all know it's better.

Miche is well known in track circles for building extremely durable, high performing components and the Miche Race don't disappoint. The 7075 Alu hub uses high quality bearings for a smooth ride. Durable, performance oriented and built to last.

The Miche Reflex rim is 23mm deep, providing a slight aero benefit without the wind drag of a standard box section rim. The spoke spacing on the rear wheel is asymmetrical to balance the stresses on the drive side.

The Reflex rim is matted to their lightweight CNC 7075 Aluminum hub using flat (slightly aero) standard stainless steel spokes with a drop spoke count lace up - 24 front and 28 rear. The front uses standard radial pattern with the rear getting the added strength of paired spokes as found on their Miche Race wheels. Paired means greater strength and durability. If you break a spoke any local bike shop will stock a replacement spoke. So there is no need to stockpile expensive proprietary spokes.

When compared to the Miche Race, the Miche Reflex is 30 grams lighter on the front at 32 grams lighter on the rear. The weight savings come out of the rim. The Miche Race has a 26mm deep rim, while the Miche Reflex is 23mm. The difference results in less material on the rim. Pros and Cons. The Miche Reflex having less material allows its to spin up a bit faster. The down side is it’s less aero. For long and sustained speeds the deeper rim pays off. For crits and climbing the reduced rotational weight proves beneficial.
