Simply put, these tires have a slick center and bumpy sides for grip.
The slick center channels water outward while the diamond pattern on
the sides provide grip on uneven pavement.
The Vredestein
Fortezza Quattro also has a brand new Full Contact Protection® feature
which provides bead-to-bead protection against cuts and punctures. This
takes the Quattro Tri Comp to another level in puncture resistance. In
addition, the Quattro also features the CCS®, which stands for Curve
Control System® enabling the tire to keep its shape during cornering
which translates to a more consistent cornering feel and road adhesion
for the rider.
