Designed much like the Mavic SL Ti pedal, the Mavic Race gives you performance and reliability on a budget. No more titanium axle and carbon fiber plates, for this pedal they’ve replaced all that with a lightweight Cro-moly axle and composite.

Just like the Mavic SL Ti pedal, the Mavic Race has taken away the wrench flats and given you an 8mm Allen key to keep it lightweight. And speaking of weight, these bad babies weight in at only 130g each, just 5 grams heavier than the Look Keo Sprint at 125grams/pedal.

For smooth, easy pedaling, each Mavic Race Pedal relies on two Mavic QRM bearings and a cartridge needle bearing that are sealed for protection. As is characteristic for Mavic, maintenance is low and easy. Just pop off the collar, clean, and you’re on your way.

Although Mavic’s design is proprietary, a few aspects have remained consistent. The adjustable tension is similar to the Look Keo and Shimano pedals as is the triangular shape with a nose in the front, open in the back. They come with the same Aluminum body as the SL Ti model, but with a sharp black finish. Plus the rubber tipped DuraCleat on the Race SL Ti pedal offers 7 degrees of float, and uses the same bolt pattern of Look and Shimano for compatibility and ease of use. (0 degree float cleats are also available for those who like the locked in feel). And speaking of the cleats, each one has rubber tips on the bottom so walking is safer for you and the cleat.
