No matter which of the new Mavic series pedals you have, if you do any riding at all, eventually you will need a pair of replacement cleats… Mavic DuraCleats are what you’re lookin’ for.
Every set of Mavic DuraCleats comes with all the standard mounting hardware you’ll need. And, of course, Mavic knows you’ll be doing some walking, so each set is outfitted with rubber tips to resist the wear and slippage that walking is notorious for. They come with the same three bolt pattern, as is standard in the market, so no surprises there.
Now, the question is, float, or no float?
You see, the Mavic DuraCleats come in two styles…. The standard set of cleats, (the ones that came with your Mavic pedals), have 7 degrees of float. Hint: You can tell by the gray tabs on the ends of the cleats. Then, for those of you rockin’ diehards who like to seriously lock in, Mavic offers a version of the DuraCleat with 0 degrees of float. Hint: they have red tips on the ends.
