Sigma is the leader of the pack when it comes to innovative design and precision engineering on their on board computer systems.
Boasting a huge screen and easy push buttons, the Sigma BC 1106 is worthy of consideration if you are in the computer buying market. You, of course, get the basics like actual speed, trip distance and total distance as well as a clock and calculated riding time. But, you also get a comparison of actual and average speed. It tells you your maximum speed so you know how fast you are. AND, you can put another sensor on your second bike so it can total up the distance and riding time between bikes one and two. The language function has 7 different languages and there’s a low battery indicator that will allow you to replace the battery before it dies on a ride.
The Sigma BC 1106 also offers a backup function so when you change the battery, you won’t lose all that valuable riding information, nor will you have to reset all your custom settings. That’s always nice.
Installation is quick and easy, and requires no tools, unless you choose to mount it on the stem which could require a little Phillips screwdriver. But overall, it shouldn’t take you more than 30 minutes and you’re on the road.
All around, it’s a great little computer that is durable and does the job well.
