Sigma, the Mercedes Benz of the cycling computer world, has turned out some nice computers over the decades. Each product goes through rigorous testing to make sure it is road ready. So nice when a company takes it upon themselves to beat up their own product to make it better.

In the wide world of “cyclocomputers”, the Sigma BC 1606L boasts one of the largest screens on the market. The display is nice and big with super big numbers so you can get your stats at a glance. And super easy buttons so you’re not reprogramming it accidently while cruising down the road. There are seven language settings so if you want to pretend you’re riding the Tour De France, you can switch to French to get yourself more in the mood.
Of course, the Sigma BC 1606L comes with all the basics as well as average speed, max speed, current speed, clock, countdown, odometer, speed comparator, stop watch and trip distance. And, with the BC 1606L, you get cadence (once you go cadence, you never go back).

Plus, should your low battery indicator tell you it’s time to change out the battery, fear not, your long term info will be saved (total mileage, setup info, etc) because of a back up function that will save all that valuable info on its little computer chip. Ain’t technology grand!

Installation is quick and easy, shouldn’t take you more than 30 minutes and you’re on the road. Get a second sensor and you can switch between bikes with ease. All around, it’s a great little computer that is durable and does the job well.

This Sigma BC 1606L does have wires if that’s what you prefer. If you’d rather have a wireless Sigma BC 1606L DTS, we’ve got that too.
