Just below the Genius 6.6 shoe in SIDI’s hierarchy of shoes is the SIDI Laser. With its full carbon sole to ensure stiffness and all the great buckles and straps for infinite adjustment, the SIDI Laser is proving itself to be a shoe made for the most discerning cyclist.

Let’s talk Carbon. SIDI’s full Carbon Sole has a unique design that is thinner in the toe. Why you ask? Well, the thinner toe gives added flex where it is needed while still retaining superb stiffness and remarkable power transfer in the body of the shoe. The sole is engineered for high-performance and high-mileage which is why cyclist's who require a rigid sole will not compromise on anything less. The stiff carbon design allows the foot to retain its all important blood circulation which guarantees superior comfort and stellar performance. The new, thinner sole design also brings the foot a lot closer to the pedal axis for more even transfer of power. There is an anti-slip insert at the toe as well as a replaceable rubber heel pad to keep your foot firmly in place for the duration of the ride.

Your instep needs something a bit less rigid, so the SIDI Laser features a Soft Instep Closure System to provide superior comfort. The wide, anatomical and padded strap has been reduced and attached to soft, thermo-formed Eva padding to increase comfort and performance. The soft instep closure system distributes pressure evenly over the arch area so there will be no hot spots. As with all SIDI shoes, the adjustments are what makes them special, the Laser is no exception. They even allow adjustability from both sides of the instep for perfect centering, thus eliminating the need for a high instep extender.

Adjustability is the feature most reveled in the SIDI line. As all of the buckles, straps and whatnot are serviceable and replaceable, your SIDI shoes could easily last you a lifetime. First up are the high security Velcro straps. Their integrated locking polymer teeth engage onto each other, flawlessly making the strap immovable when they are closed properly. The next highly adjustable features are the Caliper Buckles which are micro metric closures that are easily regulated by simply lifting the central buckle. It is easy to make minor adjustments during a race by just lifting this central caliper buckle. If you need to get out of the shoe, just lift both side buckles together and you are outta there!

As with all SIDI shoes, the Lasers are absolutely comfortable from the Vernice Nylon mesh cover that is soft and supple to the reinforced heel cup to keep the foot in position. You will never complain about hot spots in these shoes. The heel cup also keeps the shoe from being deformed by excessive pressure or extreme performance. In other words, SIDI’s got your back, or at least the back of your foot. The Vernice Nylon mesh cover cleans up easily with water and mild soap. Just be sure you dry them with a towel instead of air drying them or sticking them in the dryer. Towel is better. Seriously, you will have these shoes forever. All the small parts (buckles, heel tab, and mechanisms) are replaceable and SIDI will always be there for you should you need them.

Note - Sidi shoes tend to run small. We recommend going with the next size up in many cases. Sole fits Look, Time, Speedplay, Mavic and Shimano 3 hole bolt patterns. Other pedals may require adapters.
