If you’re looking for a handlebar that is lightweight and stiff, but don’t really care about carbon, try to find something made out of a compound called AL 7075 T6. Like in the ITM Alutech Aluminum bar which prides itself on being lightweight yet super stiff without being too harsh. The ITM Alutech is comfortable without being mushy when you come out of the saddle while climbing or sprinting. It is a durable, comfortable handlebar made for the masses.

The traditional bend is set at a 98mm reach so your hands don’t have to be huge to reach the shifters. We particularly like the traditional bend and the top profile. The ITM Alutech has a Medium drop set at 153mm so it will easily suit an average sized rider without hurting your back with too long or too short of a drop. Plus, not being anatomical you have more drop options with the ITM Alutech creating much less fatigue during those longer rides when mid-ride repositioning is of the utmost importance.

After reviewing the Alutech, we found it to be a comfortable option in the handlebar arena. The ITM Alutech is available in black which is 260 grams versus the white which is 272 grams. We are thinking the additional paint on the white one is what is adding the extra 12 grams. That, and black makes everything sleeker.
