Just when you thought you had the best of both worlds with the San Marco REGALe and its Regal-like feel at a huge weight savings, along comes the Selle San Marco REGALe Carbon FX.   It’s all about evolving and evolution is what the “e” stands for in the new Selle San Marcos REGALe Carbon FX saddle. Much like the classic San Marcos Regal, the Carbon FX is sure to have a strong and loyal following. Especially with the incredible weight savings this new model is sporting.

Still adorned with the signature six rivets the REGALe Carbon FX still screams vintage, exudes style and retains the quality of yesteryear but with the new full carbon rail system, it is now less than HALF of the weight of the original! That’s right, San Marco has managed to reduce the REGALe Carbon FX another 41 grams from the REGALe to make it a full 191 gram’s lighter than the original Selle San Marco Regal.

Soft as ever, the smooth cover is made from long wearing, microfeel that is supple to the touch. A synthetic leather that is longer lasting. At 148mm wide, the REGALe Carbon FX is the same width as the it’s predecessor, the Regal. The San Marco Regal design has been around longer than this anatomically designed craze we’re immersed in; which is a great bonus for those of us who do not fit the anatomical models.   There is no center ridge; the top is flat and the rear is big. Let’s say big one more time, for effect. BIG!

As we always say, choosing a saddle is an extremely personal choice. The San Marco Regal has been said to be one of those models that you just keep going back to because it is so well tested over time, comfortable and will last for years.   We are sure that the REGALe Carbon FX will get even better reviews now that the weight is so much lighter.
