From the very beginning days of US Postal, Lance Armstrong always used a San Marco Concor Light.  Not just for his road races, but for time trials as well.  Sure, he tried the San Marco OV because his sponsor told him to, but only for one little off season and then he returned to the old reliable Concor Light.

A word of advice for those purchasing the San Marco Concor Light, pay attention to the pitch of the saddle.  This is not a perch that you level out, this is a perch that you take a nice easy ride on and pull over frequently to adjust the pitch with the nose relatively level and rear up.  It is a matter of preference, so don’t discard the Concor Light without the ever important adjustment ride and the breaking in period.  Once you get it set, you won’t regret the effort.

Updated from the model of the 1970’s, the Concor Light is covered with microfeel.  A synthetic material that breaths and is 5% lighter than leather.  The biofoam padding is good and firm, it conforms nicely to your butt without being mushy, despite how thick it seems to the eye.  The rails on the Concor Light are made with titanox to help absorb the road vibration.  At 260mm long and 128mm wide it’s a decent sized saddle, and considering the weight of 208 grams is pretty much the same as it was in the 70’s, we consider this a relatively lightweight saddle.
