The Selle SMP Carbon Lite Saddle takes SMP’s unique and innovative saddle design and offers you more sit bone support than their earlier carbon model, the carbon. The SMP Carbon Lite body is constructed completely of carbon fiber and connects to your seat post using lightweight steel rails. The rails provide some slight road dampening while the body of the saddle stays firm.

The Selle SMP line has been extensively researched to analyze the many positions that cyclists utilize to stay in peak performance throughout the different phases on a ride. Their goal is to keep the genitals from getting squashed and to keep that blood moving to your powerhouse legs. That is a good goal to have and they’ve reached it repetitively throughout their many high quality saddle. The SMP Carbon Lite is no exception to that direction. (Hey, that rhymes) For the Carbon Lite they designed it to have a central cutout channel that varies in width from 3.5mm to a full 5mm’s to allow continuous circulation to all your private parts that need the blood flow so much. So, so much.

The seat on the SMP Carbon Lite Saddle is a full 6mm wider than the SMP Carbon so it offers more sit bone support at its robust 135mm width. The length is a full 10mm longer to offer you even more positions too. Plus, the extended size better distributes the weight of the rider so it’s comfortable without sacrificing performance. Unfortunately with the extra size comes extra weight, but it’s not bad. Only an additional 10 grams for so much comfort, not a bad sacrifice to make when you take into account how much better it can make the ride. We do this for fun, right?

The SMP Carbon Lite is made using Carbon fibre casing over an AISI 304 tubular steel frame. As are all SMP Saddles, the Carbon Lite is made in Italy, by Italians.

SMP Carbon Lite Saddle Key Features:

The central channel of the saddle varies in width (3-5.5cm) to contour the body and allow continuous circulation of blood flow in the prostate, artery of the penis, scrotum and testicles.
The front section of the saddle with its beak-shaped design offers excellent support when pedaling hard and prevents your genitals from getting squashed in the process.
The design of the outer mid-section is shaped to follow your thigh muscles to maximize blood circulation and pedaling power.
273mm in length and 135 mm in width, the overall weight of the rider is distributed throughout the saddle to offer comfort without sacrificing performance.
