When its hello carbon, its goodbye grease! Such is the nature of the beast. We all love our carbon seatposts and handlebars, but if they come in contact with grease, good luck getting them to tighten properly. Next thing you know, you’ve over-tightened your bolts to keep them from slipping and you’re facing the possibility of irreparable damage. Conversely, if you decide to torque them down without any type of lube, you could face corrosion, slippage and a whole lot of noise.
