The Sidi Genius 5 Pro Carbon Mega Shoe has a completely redesigned sole with new materials and they are significantly wider for those of you who need that extra wide gerth. The Millennium 3 sole is a carbon composite constructed from nylon and injected with carbon fiber. The carbon increases the soles stiffness by a whopping 36% - says Sidi.

The Millennium 3 sole is mated to Sidi’s industry renowned uppers – which go unmatched in suppleness. The Lorica uppers have all the benefits of leather with none of the down side. You’ll find it supple, forgiving, durable, and it won’t stretch overtime.

The Sidi Genius 5 Pro Mega is equipped with Sidi’s Red SL ratchet buckle. An improvement over previous ratchet systems, the ratchet mechanism allows for both major and minor adjustments. While tightening the buckle you can go from one to four clicks; to loosen just press the red flags lightly to release by half an increment, or together firmly to completely release the buckle. Basically speaking, they will definitely adjust perfectly to your robust footsies.

The Red SL ratchet buckle pulls the largest of the straps over the top of your foot. The top strap can be centered over your foot, eliminating the need for a high instep extender and is completely replaceable. The width of the strap has been reduced and coupled with soft even padding. The padding dramatically increases comfort and eliminates the sharpness experienced by some with the old strap style. The other two straps are constructed with Sidi’s High Security Velcro – a combination of Velcro and integrated locking teeth that absolutely won’t slip.

To help you stay planted, the Sidi Genius 5 Pro Carbon Mega has added a replaceable rubber heal insert and a piece of rubber at the tip. The two Velcro strips and one Ultra SL ratchet hold your foot securely in place and with the addition of a molded plastic heel cup your foot doesn’t slip around. They also stop the shoes from becoming skates on your way to and from your bike.

Note - Sidi shoes tend to run small. We recommend going with the next size up in many cases. Sole fits Look, Time, Speedplay, Mavic and Shimano 3 hole bolt patterns. Other pedals may require adapters.
