Should you need to remove your wheel, you will need a chain whip. The Silca Chain Whip with the Classic wooden handle is made with solid, Italian construction for all your wheel removal needs.

The Chain Whip by Silca is a metal bar with a short length of bicycle chain attached to it. The reason they call it a chain “whip” is because it does indeed resemble a whip. The Chain Whip is used as a wrench to unscrew threaded sprockets or to keep your freehub body from ratcheting backwards while you are unscrewing your lock ring.

It is a handy little tool to have around.
