So, you like your Vittoria Pave’s, but feel they are a little too heavy duty for extended regular riding? But your Corsa Evo’s aren’t quite hardy enough for the wetness. Vittoria has the solution to your dilemma, they call them the Open Corsa Evo Tech tires.

Built specifically for rough weather conditions, the Vittoria Open Corsa Evo Tech tires will keep you safe and sound while still allowing you a smooth and supple ride. The Corespun 320 TPI casing is nothing to sneeze at either, especially with the extra protection of the latex reinforced sidewalls to increase the Open Corsa Evo Tech’s resistance to sharp objects you run across. It’s like adding a little latex insurance policy to keep your tires safe. Another water worthy feature is the diamond tread pattern that is elongated in the direction of the rotation for better ground contact. Under this diamond tread is a new PRB 2.0 puncture resistant belt that evidently increases the flat prevention properties of the Corso Evo Tech up to 40%. And they still remain lightweight at only 230grams per tire.

The latex is great, and it will help keep the tires looking and feeling new. The tread is important and that new diamond pattern will keep the water (and even snow) under control. But the real key to the Open Corso Evo Tech tires, the thing that makes them so good in cold/wet weather conditions is the tire specific “Aquagrip” compound that keeps these tires sticking and gripping to the road no matter how deep it gets.
