Retailers, like We Keep You Cycling, are legally allowed to set their own selling prices. However, some manufacturers set ‘Minimum Advertised Pricing’ or ‘MAP’ policies which restrict how we can display pricing for their products. Typically this means that we cannot show you our price for the item until you take further action, such as placing the item in your shopping cart. Placing the item in the Shopping Cart will allow you to see our price, but does not mean you have to purchase the item. The item can be easily removed from the cart if you do not want it.
While inconvenient, this is the legal method of complying with MAP policies while retaining our retailers’ legal right to sell at a price of our choosing.
In the hierarchy of the Campy 11 speed cassettes, the Super Record 11 with Ultra Shift, is the lightest option that Campagnolo's offers. On the Campagnolo Record 11 Cassette, your highest five cogs (11, 12, 13, 14, and 15) are made of a nickel/chrome-coated steel, and the lower six are Titanium.
Why, you ask? When you take into account that the highest five cogs have the least amount of surface area and the high five cogs have more of the actual cog wrapped in chain, you will realize that your 11t cog wears down at a higher rate than you’re 25t cog. So, if your top five, high wearing rate cogs were made from Titanium, which is a softer material than steel, they would wear at a much faster rate than if they were made from steel. So, when it comes down to it, the steel cogs may be heavier, but they are longer lasting than the Titanium cogs because they are coated with nickel-chrome to increase durability.
The Super Record 11 cassette is built with Campagnolo's Ultra Shift technology that is a multi faceted upgrade from older models. The most noticeable of the changes can be seen in the new design for cog tooth synchronization. The teeth on each cog have been synchronized with a different shape, style, and precision to enhance shifting and reduce stress which will increase the lifespan of your chain. The Ultra Shift technology on the Record 11 Cassette introduces a select ground of somewhat pointy teeth with a slight curve at the top. These specialized teeth are designed specifically to facilitate smoother upshifts. If you need to increase the shifting capacity and speed even more, the Ultra Shift cog configuration works flawlessly with the 11 speed Ergopower shift levers.
If your goal is to stay as lightweight as possible and still get prolonged usage in your components, the Super Record 11 Cassette will be a good investment. It’s a lighter weight than its sister cassette, the Record 11, because the Record 11 has three Ti cogs and eight steel vs. the Super Record 11 which has five steel and six Titanium. That steel to Ti ratio will save you around 25grams, depending on which ratio you choose.
The Campagnolo Super Record 11 cassette comes with a lightweight alloy lockring and is available in 5 ratios: 11-23, 11-25, 12-25, 12-27, and 12-29.
The 11-23 includes- 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,21,23
