The Koobi Au Chrono is designed with the signature tip to end cutout that Koobi has built their saddle platform on. The cutaway is extensive which contributes to the relief. Plus, the firm saddle supports your ischial tuberosities (aka Sit Bones) transferring the weight through your sit bones instead of your crotch.

The big difference between the Koobi Xenon and the Koobi AU Chrono is the rail system. The Xenon has the Ti Alloy and the AU Chrono has the Manganese rails. This adds a bit of weight to the AU Chrono which weighs in at 262grams (up 12 grams from the Xenon).

The AUChrono is also a bit thinner in the rear than the Xenon, coming in at 150mm. Before you purchase any saddle, be sure to check out your proper sit bone width with the Cheek to Cheek.

The Koobi AU Chrono is a firmly padded saddle which means it may take a few rides to get used to it. The minimal padding helps to force you to place your weight on your sit bones where it belongs. Firmer saddles are good for longer distance riding; but avoid this saddle if you like lots of padding.
