The Look Keo Blade Carbon Ti was designed and developed in collaboration with Alberto Contador after he won the Tour on the Look Keo 2 Max Carbons.  Its not that Alberto didn’t love the Keo Max 2 Carbons, it’s that he thought of even more upgrades that could make for more advanced pedal.  Athletic, attractive and smart,

Designed with a more refined profile, the new Look Keo Blade are comfortable, durable and lightweight.  The Pedal Look Keo Blade provides a contact surface that is 17% larger than the Look Keo Carbons.  These pedals are much like their brother, the Keo 2 Max Carbons, but with a spectacular change that will prove to innovate the clipless pedal industry even further.   Look took the wide pedal base of the keo 2 max, removed the spring adjustment (that’s right, they took it out) and replaced the tension adjustment with a strip of carbon.  Makes you just want to really examine these little buggers, doesn’t it?

The Keo Blade also put in a new titanium axle with two miniature ball bearings (12mm inner x 18mm outer diameters) as well as a needle roller bearing.  All the bearings are sealed so you can rely on lower service and a longer bearing life as well as a super smooth ride.  The increased size of the Ti axle removes the weight limit previously found on Look Ti axles.

Another practical addition to the Look Keo Blades are the addition of 14mm threads on the axle that allow you to adjust the Q-factor by up to 2mm with the use of specific washers (available separately).

To be sure your Look Keo Blades will last, the quality control department at Look put the pedal to the metal by pushing it through a million cycles at 100 revolutions per minute with an almost 200 pound load at the center of the pedal.  They compound this with an eccentric rotation to replicate a bump with each turn.  This test goes above and beyond current testing requirements.

They didn’t change the pattern for the Keo grip cleats so the built in rubber contacts are still as durable and easy to walk in as ever before.   Since they didn’t change the pattern, they are compatible with your current Keo cleats.  And, with the new larger platform, they are even easier to clip in and out.
Superior quality and reliability is why Look products are sought after by the world’s most demanding and discriminating cyclists.
