Hybrid is such a confusing name. In typical Italian form this name only means something to them. This SMP saddle is a HYBRID between the more expensive and lighter SMP saddles and the less expensive Extra.

The SMP Hybrid is most similar to the SMP Lite 209. Instead of leather you get a soft polyurethane synthetic cover. Still nice, but not leather. And the casing isn’t charged with carbon fiber’ like the Lite 209. The Hybrid has the same AISI 304 tubular inox steel rails as the Lite 209. The padding is thicker as well but the Hybrid is only 14 grams heavier than the SMP Lite 209, weighing in at 320 grams.

Just like all SMP Saddles, the Hybrid is handmade in Italy. It boasts the same end to end cutout SMP built their reputation on, offering unmatched soft tissue relief. Just slightly larger than the SMP LIte 209, the SMP Hybrid is 275x140 (up from the 209’s 273x139).

SMP Hybrid Saddle Key Features:

The central channel of the Hybrid saddle varies in width (1-2.5cm) to contour the body and allow continuous circulation of blood flow in the prostate, artery of the penis, scrotum and testicles.

The front section of the SMP Hybrid saddle with its beak-shaped design offers excellent support when pedaling hard and prevents your genitals from getting squashed in the process.

The design of the outer mid-section is shaped to follow your thigh muscles to maximize blood circulation and pedaling power.

275mm in length and 140mm in width, the overall weight of the rider is distributed throughout the saddle to offer comfort without sacrificing performance.
