When Selle Italia introduced the SLR line, it was an advancement in saddle technology. Now they are raising the bar again with the introduction of the SL series.

The Selle Italia SL T1 will soon become famous for its long fat nose that offers superior control, especially on the descent. You could feasibly do an expert level obstacle course while rockin’ an 8% grade downhill at 45mph with no problem at all.

The “Karl Malden” sized nose sitting platform is increased by 30% over standard saddle noses. It offers a variety of sitting positions without compromising your comfort level. To add to the comfort Selle Italia uses differentiated levels of EVA padding throughout the saddle so it’s hard where it should be and soft where it needs to be. Although it was designed to be a Tri or MTB saddle, road riders find it to be a quite comfortable perch as well.

Weighing in at 245g, the SL T1 is the lightest saddle available in its class. The fiberglass shell keeps it lightweight as does the manganese rail system. The top is made of Lorica so it’s nice and durable, resistant to wear and features a non-slip center section to keep you in the saddle.
