Until recently, getting you the right Selle SMP saddle for your TT bike resulted in compromise. Folks looking for a TT specific saddle would get a few recommendations from us and it was always 6 in one and half a dozen in the other. It’s true in 2010, you had to compromise. It’s a new year and SMP brings us a new saddle.

The SMP Chrono is new to SMP’s lineup and specifically designed for TT riders. It’s narrow, because in your aero position hanging off the nose you don’t require the typical width; sit bone measurements are near useless here. It’s short, 250mm, because you’re not moving around as you would on a road bike. And it’s unpadded because the difference between padding and none in this application is moot. Yes, many a TT saddle is constructed with a big padded nose. It’s all to try and avoid you going numb.

Selle SMP Chrono has the usual SMP characteristics. It’s end to end cutout, gentle dip in the center, raised rear for proper support.

SMP Chrono Saddle Key features:

The central channel of the Chrono saddle varies in width (1.3 - 3.3 cm) to contour the body and allow continuous circulation of blood flow in the prostate, artery of the penis, scrotum and testicles.

The front section of the SMP Chrono saddle with its beak-shaped design offers excellent support when pedaling hard and prevents your genitals from getting squashed in the process.

The design of the outer mid-section is shaped to follow your thigh muscles to maximize blood circulation and pedaling power.

250mm in length and 124mm in width, the overall weight of the rider is distributed throughout the saddle to offer comfort without sacrificing performance.
