For all practical purposes the Shimano Ultegra 6701 Chain is the heavier version of the Dura-Ace 7901. Using the same asymmetrical design, the 6701 is stripped of the hollow pins, outer perforated plates, and the nickel finish of the Dura-Ace 7901.
However, even with these changes, both chains ride and shift the same. Both display the same quiet experience we love from Dura-Ace, while the 6701 is slightly heavier and less expensive. Even with these differences you should expect the same mileage from both.

Shimano’s 6701 chain is compatible with Shimano 67xx series and 79xx series drive trains.
