With a nod to simplicity SRAM uses the 1070 cassette on both their Force and Rival groups.

The SRAM PG-1070 uses SRAM’s PowerGlide shifting, not to be confused with the OG-1090’s OpenGlide. The PowerGlide offers crisp and smooth shifting, even under low RPM high load situations.

The 1070 is constructed from heat-treated steel and weighs in at 210 grams for an 11-23. Compare this to Shimano’s 6700 cassette at 209 grams, with their alloy carrier and the weight savings SRAM brings to the table, with more durable material becomes clear. Nearly the same weight, 1 gram difference, and SRAM uses only steel. The cassette is durable, and built to last.

The SRAM PG-1070 is compatible with any Shimano 9 or 10 speed freehub, SRAM 10 speed chains, and Shimano or Wipperman 10 speed chains.
