With San Marco’s launch in 2009 of their vintage collection, Selle Italia could not be out done and so the Selle Italia Turbo is back for sale again. A design so popular it changed the way saddles were made and we’re still scratching our heads as to why they stopped production. The Selle Italia Turbo 1980 was Selle Italia’s first anatomically correct saddle.

With its launch it became an instant hit, not unlike their Flite’s rise in the 1990’s. With the years that followed the Turbo’s birth it racked up race victories the world over and set a new standard for a race saddle.

Constructed out of full grain leather it looks and feels like the original. No changes have been made, no ‘improvements’ here. Straight full grain leather over variable padding on a nylon shell. In today’s sea of cutout saddles it’s no longer considered anatomically correct, but if you loved the Turbo in 1980 – welcome home.
