In the tubular world there are tubulars and tubulars made by hand. When Schwalbe decided to make a race worthy tubular they opted to build nothing but the best, a handmade tubular. The Schwalbe Ultremo HT Tubular is a triple compound race day ready tubular tire fit to compete with those from Continental and Vittoria.

The Ultremo HT starts with a light weight latex tube with a 40mm valve and removable core. Built around this latex tube is a 300 TPI supple polyester fiber casing. While not as high a TPI count as the Vittoria corsa evo 320 tpi tubular, the 300 TPI casing Schwalbe produces gives an equally nice road feel without the draw backs of soaking up water. Between tube and tread is Schwalbe’s RaceGuard puncture protection belt that stops all but the worst punctures from ruining your ride.

Connecting you with the road the RaceStar Triple Nano Compound uses a harder tread in the center, a soft tread on the side, and a medium tread behind the soft tread. Schwalbe increases the density of the nano particulars at the center, so while it’s the same rubber, there is more crammed into a square inch of tire. This reduces rolling resistance in a straight line. To inspire confidence in the corners the soft tread on the side has the backing of a medium density tread. This provides all of the awe inspiring grip you could want without the squishiness typically associated with soft compounds.

Finished in all black the Schwalbe Ultremo HT Tubular is available in 700x22 or 700x25. We recommend a 22 front and 25 rear setup.
