2010 Selle Italia SLR Ti Saddle

The Selle Italia SLR Ti (the Ti stands for Titanium) is a saddle designed for the performance oriented rider who is seeking a sleek, sexy, lightweight, yet still comfortable ride.

Using a 30% carbon composite shell keeps the saddle strong yet still light.  Add to that hollow titanium rails (yes, hollow) and you’ve got yourself a super sleek, lightweight saddle.   As an added bonus, the hollow titanium rails are a specially designed part that are produced right here in the USA specifically for Selle Italia.  When keeping it light is the name of the game, the SLR Ti can only be beaten by a greater use of carbon as seen on the SLR Kit Carbonio. 

The seat portion is constructed using real supple leather covering stuffed to the perfect thickness with EVA padding, a closed cell foam that only weighs about 5 grams.  Combine that with the featherweight hollow titanium rails and the carbon composite shell and you’ve got yourself an amazingly light and comfortable ride.

Any one of the Selle Italia line is a time tested perch for your tush and because each model is different, choosing can be a challenge.  It is good to know how far apart your sit bones are so you can choose your saddle wisely.  The SLR Ti is only 131mm wide which means that you need a smaller (110-120mm) sit bone width to be comfortable on this saddle.  If you need help with measuring your sit bones, check out Cheek to Cheek.
