Sigma BC 2209 MHR Wireless Cycling Computer Review
The Sigma BC 2209 MHR Wireless Cycling Computer is among the best wireless cycling computer in the world today. Sigma, a German company, has found a way to allow the rider to see a quick view of the stats while riding. There is a large, backlit screen that displays over 40 functions and all you need to do to view them is click a button until you find what you want. You can see anything from speed to distance, alititude to temperature, clock to heart rate and much, much more. To make viewing the data even easier, Sigma has an optional dock that plugs into your laptop or desktop computer so you can view all your results from your ride in one place. It’s great to have results from your rides so you can see where you need to improve and perhaps what you are doing wrong.
This wireless cycling computer offers 7 different languages so you can see exactly what information you need in the language you speak. This wireless cycling computer is ideal for hill climbers because you can calculate speed, riding time, altitude, altitude climbed, calories burned, heart rate (with an ECG for ultimate precision) and so much more. To see these features, click through with the button.
Perhaps one of the best things about this wireless cycling computer is the wireless range. It has a wireless range of 90 cm (close to three feet) and the heart rate transmitter wireless range has been increased to 100 cm (a little over three feet). This ensures your data will be recorded from nearly any position. There is also an optional cable in case you ride further away. Another cool feature is the option to take the computer off your bike and attach it to a strap that goes on your wrist. This is a fun feature because you can take it on hikes or on runs and collect all the same data you do while on a bike. The Sigma BC 2209 MHR is so much more than just a wireless cycling computer
computer. It can be considered an all-sports cycling computer (with the exception of water sports, of course).
Another cool thing about the Sigma Computers
BC 2209 is the battery that comes with it. It is now powered by a more powerful (3 times more than regular cycling computer batteries, in fact) CR2450 3 volt battery. To ensure this battery will last even longer, Sigma included a standby mode so your wireless cycling computer will only be collecting data when you want it to, not whenever it’s on or attached to your bike. There is also an automatic start and stop function so the bike computer activates itself automatically after determining when the bike is in motion. This wireless cycling computers, and all Sigma products, are made in Germany. The screen is backlit for easy reading in any light and has a battery level indicator so you know when it’s time to charge your battery.
